TVPlayer revenues up 600%; Management appointments

TVPlayer has announced record growth for its live-TV streaming service in the UK. The platform has added more than 40,000 net customers to its premium pay-TV service in the last quarter, positioning TVPlayer as the fastest growing complete pay-TV platform in the UK.

TVPlayer now has almost 2 million monthly active users in the UK, with annualised revenues increasing over 600 per cent year on year.

Due to TVPlayer’s in-house technology platform, the company says it can service millions of users at a fraction of the cost faced by new OTT entrants and traditional pay TV companies. Since being founded in 2014, TVPlayer has had over 11 million desktop users and over 4 million app downloads in the UK.

To further accelerate growth and strengthen its management team, TVPlayer has appointed ‘industry veterans’ Scott Kewley and Nick James as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) respectively. Existing COO, Rob Hodgkinson, will be moving into the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role.
